Geneva Bible

This Geneva Bible came to Bristol Bound missing its boards and so required a new full leather binding, raised bands and blind tooling to the cover and spine.  The Geneva bible dates to the mid 16th century and was the first mass produced bible available to the general public, predating the King James version.  It is sometimes referred to as a Breeches Bible because of the reference to Adam and Eve wearing breeches to cover up their nakedness.
