We worked closely with the customer to choose the right materials to suit the project. The book is quarter bound in black book cloth, with bespoke printed boards and black end papers.

CHESIL BEACH - A Poem by David Burnett - with a wood engraving by Christopher Wormell. Section sewn and bound in a hard wearing Buckram book cloth and laid cotton rag paper, embossed in gold on the front.

We were commissioned by a private press to bind a series of limited edition books on witchcraft. Each copy was bound in full leather with foil blocking and tooling on the spine and front. Some also required slip cases that were bound in Burkram cloth and blind embossed.

Bristol university

A bespoke screwpost binding for Bristol University

A number of years ago we were asked by Bristol University to make a small run of bespoke screw post bindings. This binding method allowed them to easily change or add pages and we designed the book in such a way as to hide the screws from view.

We were approached by Aardman Animations to bind one of the scripts as a special gift to the production team. Bound in black book cloth and embossed with gold foil.

As part of a large engineering project Buro Happold undertook in Abu Dhabi, Bristol Bound was commissioned to bind all the project documents in both English and Arabic. Each volume was quarter bound in a different coloured cloth and the boards covered in high quality coated litho prints.

For this project the customers supplied the printed cover and pages and we stab-bound the book for extra durability.
